SESLOC HOME LOAN HELP

The FACT Act, passed by Congress in 2004, includes a provision which requires each of the three major credit reporting agencies to provide you with a free credit report every 12 months. This credit file disclosure provides all the information in your credit file maintained by the consumer reporting company that could be provided in a consumer report about you to a third party, such as a lender. It also includes a record of everyone to whom they have sent your credit report within a certain period of time ("inquiries"), as well as other information. It does not include your credit score (see note below).
Here is the centralized source through which you may order free credit reports. There are three different ways to order:
(You will go through a simple verification process.)
Recommendation: Since each agency -- Experion, TransUnion, and Equifax --must supply you with a report, we suggest you order each report at different times of the year. This increases your chance of spotting fraud, if it occurs.
Purchased Credit Scores: Credit Bureaus offer you the opportunity to purchase a credit report with a credit score. These scores are typically a "consumer credit score" and are not the same as the FICO credit score most lenders use. Also, keep in mind that credit scores adjust frequently since new information is continually added and removed from your report.
When you apply for a loan at SESLOC, we'll be happy to review your credit report and credit score with you.
