Meet the Candidates for 2007

Anthony S. Cangelosi – Member since 1999
I am seeking a position on the Board because I respect and value the
mission of SESLOC and its contributions to our community. I am qualified to
serve on the Board because I have a Cal Poly business degree, I am a real
estate broker, a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Real Estate Appraiser
and Certified Valuation Analyst. As an active member of my local and national
trade associations, I keep up-to-date on financial news, including federal
fiscal and monetary policy, tax laws and trends in consumer economics that
drive demands of main street consumers who rely on credit unions and
demand the highest level of service and commitment.
Jerry Kaml – Incumbent, Member since 1966
I have been a volunteer at SESLOC Federal Credit Union since 1966,
serving on the Credit Committee, Supervisory Committee and the Board of
Directors. I am currently Chairman of the Board of Directors. I received my
bachelor's and master's degrees from Cal Poly and a Ph.D. from Michigan
State University. I feel my leadership experience and financial
expertise will continue to keep SESLOC Federal
Credit Union the financial leader in
our community.
Jacquie Paulsen – Incumbent, Member since 1976
I am privileged to have been serving on the SESLOC Board of Directors
since 1989. Prior to that, I served on the Credit Committee for seven years
and also as Chairperson. My goal is to continue to be approachable to all, to
listen to members' and employees' concerns and to make decisions after
considering all issues. In college, my major was business and finance. I
worked for five years in the banking industry, then at Cal Poly for 24 years. I
love the credit union's idea of people helping people and would consider it an
honor to continue serving on the Board on your behalf.
Pauline Shaffer – Incumbent, Member since 1958
I became a member of the Board of Directors in 1985 and have held the
positions of Secretary and Treasurer. I served as a member and Chair of the
Supervisory Committee for six years. I am a graduate of Juniata College,
served as a faculty member of the Cal Poly University Home Economics
Department for nine years, and retired as the Catering Manager/Nutritionist
for the Cal Poly Foundation. After completing additional business courses,
I now work part-time doing accounting and taxes. To serve as a Director
of SESLOC Federal Credit Union has provided a very special opportunity
for me to contribute to and support a fine financial institution.
