New IRA Limits for 2008

In 2008, the IRA contributions limit increases to $5,000. For those age 50 or over, the limit increases to $6,000. Automatic transfers or payroll deductions offer a way to steadily build your account this coming year.

If you did not reach your maximum contribution last year, you may make 2007 contributions up until April 15, 2008. The maximum contribution for 2007 is $4,000 or $5,000 for those 50 or older.
