This fall we bid farewell to Beverly Henderson, Sr. Operations Vice President after 32 years' service, and Micki Myall, Consumer Lending Vice President with
28 years' service. We will miss them greatly. We want to introduce you to the outstanding people selected to fill these positions and serve our members.

In November, SESLOC welcomed David Wood, who brings a wealth of credit union experience to his new position as Sr. Vice President, Operations. Originally from San Jose, California, he attended San Jose State University where he earned a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. While attending school, he began work in Operations at 1st United Services Credit Union, where he was quickly promoted to Marketing Assistant, then Marketing Manager.

By graduation, the credit union had appointed David Vice President of Marketing. Except for a brief five-year foray into banking at Wells Fargo Bank, David spent 14 years at 1st United Services where his management responsibilities expanded into wide ranging areas, including Marketing, Operations, Call Center, E-Commerce, Facilities, Training, Business Development and Strategic Development.

David currently lives in an ocean community with his wife and two young daughters, where they like to hike and enjoy the beach. In his spare time he takes in the occasional round of golf.

We're pleased to introduce Manuel Cervantes, recently promoted to Vice President, Consumer Loans. Manuel began his career in credit unions in 1997, at Families and Schools Together (FAST) Federal Credit Union in Hanford, California. There he gained broad experience in a variety of positions, including Teller, Supervisor of Consumer Loans and New Accounts, Collections, and Branch Manager.

He is passionate about credit unions, and when he and his wife moved to the Central Coast in 2006, his goal was to continue work at a credit union. He found a home at SESLOC, where he's known for his optimism and his commitment to both staff and members.

Manuel enjoys hiking the beautiful countryside with his wife, a San Luis Obispo native, spending time with family and friends, and volunteering at
his church.
