Board of Directors Nominations and Election

Vote Each spring SESLOC members elect Directors to lead the credit union. Applications for Nomination are accepted from October 1 through November 15 from qualified members who are willing to serve as credit union directors.

Credit union directors are unpaid volunteers who generously give their time and energies to the credit union during their three-year terms. Each year qualified members, including directors whose terms are expiring, may apply for nomination. Elections are held from February 1 to March 2, and results are announced at the annual meeting in March. (Note: If the number of applications is equal to the number of positions open, no election is held).

Who May Be Nominated

A nominee must be at least 18 years old and a SESLOC primary member in good standing for at least three years. The nominee must have demonstrated good character and fiscal responsibility, be fully bondable and may not be engaged in any business or enterprise which is, or could appear to be, in conflict with the duties of a credit union official or interfere with independence and impartiality. If you are interested in being nominated, your application must be received during the nomination period from October 1 through the close of business on November 15 of the year prior to the March election.
