I Love My Credit Union Day will return in 2024
We joined credit unions across the nation for I Love My Credit Union Day on Friday, July 28, 2023 in celebration of what it means to be a part of a credit union. The credit union difference is what sets us apart from other financial institutions. We are not-for-profit, community-based, federally insured and most importantly, we are owned by YOU — our loyal member-owners.
I Love My Credit Union Day may be over, but we believe in celebrating the credit union spirit and the members that make this place so special. Stay tuned for more Member Appreciation Days later this year, and we look forward to celebrating I Love My Credit Union Day again next July.

I love my credit union because It is about providing quality service and care for every one of its members. I personally feel valued as a member, and not just another account number in a system.
It’s a small town feel, it’s community, family and I know you are here to help the people who enter those doors. Love the news letters keep us informed. Incentives to save! Truly want to help your community! Proud to be a part of it.
The accessibility of the online services as well as the convenient notifications I receive via text. My favorite of all though is the small town feeling with excellent customer service. Thank you for all your help.
It has excellent customer service and specialized attention each time I visit a branch. Services are always available in Spanish as well which helps when my Spanish speaking family members visit a branch.
The staff is always helpful at SESLOC. I'm really enjoying the Saving to Win account, it feels like playing the Lottery without losing any money and has encouraged me to save $250 per month just for a chance to win.
Contact at the branch or by phone with a friendly, competent HUMAN! Last year I stood in line at B of A for at least half an hour. When I finally reached a teller (after continually being greeted by an employee who added no value and irritated other customers in the line), it took a long time to withdraw funds. Finally, after nearly an hour while my husband waited in the car, we were able to finish our business. Then we headed over to SESLOC. We found a parking place right away and were in and out of the building within 15 minutes, our transaction complete. And everyone in the building was pleasant and competent.
We absolutely love our credit union! We have our home and truck loans through Sesloc because they have the very best rates! We also maintain both our checking and savings accounts at Sesloc because of all the benefits that go along with these accounts. I have been a member for over 50 years and proud of it! Thanks Sesloc for always being the best !!!
I have recently joined SESLOC while seeking an equity loan. After a review of what my needs were, the loan officer steered me to their best loan and best rate. Their loan officers assisted me every step of the way to help secure my loan in a timely manner. The key to the loan was working together, being patient with each other, and treating each other with respect. SESLOC is a friendly place, local, easy to get to, and comfortable to be at. The atmosphere is friendly and supportive. I appreciate their newsletters and their concern for the local community!

Our name SESLOC is an acronym for School Employees of San Luis Obispo County. Rooted in academics and locally-headquarted for 80 years, membership is now open to everyone in Northern Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties. SESLOC is a place for all.

What is a credit union?
Credit union members share a common bond, such as where they work or live. SESLOC serves those who live, work or attend school in San Luis Obispo and Northern Santa Barbara counties. Our members are local, so money stays local, and SESLOC stays community focused.
Credit unions are cooperative financial institutions designed to give back to their members, not stockholders. Credit unions are not driven by profit. Credit unions have a volunteer Board of Directors, and profits are returned to members in the form of lower loan rates, higher savings rates, and lower cost services. The credit union philosophy that people are more important than profits benefits both the credit union members and their community.
