science of savingsYouth Week is April 16 - 20

Behavioral science has shown that humans are hard-wired to act on impulse and that it takes conscious thought to delay gratification. Parents can help “rewire” those impulses by encouraging their kids to think about the future, set goals, and make deposits so they can see their savings grow.

Stop by one of our branches during Youth Week - APRIL 16-20 - and we’ll waive the $5 membership fee for youth under age 18, when they open a savings account with a $5 minimum deposit. We'll have some fun items to give away, and some special rewards too! If your child doesn't already have a savings account, this is a great opportunity for them to join the Credit Union.

space pigSESLOC offers products and services designed specifically for young people, such as our Teen Checking account, but Youth Week is when we make the branches a fun place for kids to visit.

We're looking forward to seeing you and helping your kids to learn the science of savings!
