Every year, SESLOC partners with our esteemed community nonprofit organizations to help make the holiday season merry and bright for everyone. That’s the spirit of People helping People – one that SESLOC embodies alongside our member owners each day.
In 2025, we partnered with three organizations, American General Media Radio and Spanish language station Radio Lazer to help spread joy across the community. Thank you to all our member-owners who contributed to these causes. Here’s what we achieved together to end the year.
SESLOC & American General Media Thanksgiving Food Drive
We once again partnered with American General Media Radio for their 8th Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive supporting the Food Bank of Santa Barbara County and SLO Food Bank to raise funds and pounds of food to stock their shelves at Thanksgiving. Together, we raised $858 and 290 pounds of food for the San Luis Obispo Food Bank, and $779.23 and over 100 pounds of food for the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County.

Family Care Network “Give Joy” Fundraiser
For the sixth consecutive year, SESLOC partnered with Family Care Network (FNCI) for the “Give Joy” fundraiser for local families. Together, we raised $2,158.59 to support children and youth in foster care, as well as families struggling with homelessness and unhealed trauma in San Luis Obispo and Northern Santa Barbara Counties – an increase from 2024! Donations supplied warm winter clothing, groceries & holiday meals, gifts & toys, holiday cheer, and support for unfunded & urgent basic needs.
San Luis Obispo County Child Welfare Services Operation Santa Toy Drive
To give children a merry holiday season this year, SESLOC and other local credit unions teamed with San Luis Obispo County Child Welfare Services for the Operation Santa Toy Drive. Thanks to our member-owners, we filled donation bins in Paso Robles and Arroyo Grande, with additional contributions coming from our Atascadero and San Luis Obispo branches.

Navidad de los Ninos
For our Spanish-language community, we partnered with Radio Lazer for the second year in a row to deliver a holiday celebration at our Paso Robles Branch: Navidad de los Ninos. The event brought fun and games, a toy distribution event and even a visit from Santa! Everything was for the benefit of local children.
