Once again, SESLOC was proud to team with the SLO Food Bank and Food Bank of Santa Barbara County in 2026 to help raise funds for those experiencing food insecurity in our community. Now in our seventh year, our donating member-owners, employees, and the community came together to raise $9,480.78 for the food banks. Thank you for supporting our food banks and helping our neighbors through food security. Each dollar buys enough food for four nutritious meals, thanks to the Food Banks’ network of partners
Many in our community rely on the support of our local food banks for access to wholesome nutrition. Across our area, 1 in 6 people in San Luis Obispo County and 1 in 3 in Santa Barbara county are in need of food assistance. Many of those in need are seniors and children. Beyond distributing food and finding creative ways to bridge the hunger gap, our food banks also provide nutritional education to promote healthier communities.
