SESLOC President & CEO Announces Retirement

From Your CEO — Summer 2019

We’re halfway through 2019 and what an exciting year it has been. Your credit union posted its highest month of loan fundings in April at $25 million. Your credit union is in good financial health, and we are helping to make living on the Central Coast more attainable and enjoyable for our members—whether it be financing a car, a new home or a college education. Thank you to our new and existing members for bringing it home to SESLOC.

This past quarter we’ve introduced a few ways to save money, make SESLOC more accessible and provide more learning opportunities. We offered a rate reduction when you refinance a vehicle loan from another lender at SESLOC, and we offer a fee-free Business Non-Profit Checking for non-profit organizations. Many of you have taken advantage of our online appointment booking system, and coming this summer Live Chat will be available online. The representatives you chat with are the same friendly, knowledgeable staff you know and trust from our local Contact Center. And lastly, we launched a new education event, where we brought in experts that you meet during the Home Buying process, who provided unbiased information in an exciting “speed dating” format. These new additions are to ensure you receive maximum value from your credit union.

I’m pleased to welcome Liz Summer who recently joined SESLOC as SVP of Business Services. She has the same depth of commitment to her clients that SESLOC has here locally with members. Liz has served on several non-profit boards for more than 20 years and is a past recipient of the SLO Chamber “Citizen of the Year.” She and the business services team are eager to assist local businesses and support their business needs with our full line of business accounts, loans and treasury services.

For the fifth year in a row, Team SESLOC joined the Miracle Miles for Kids race to support Family Care Network, one of the Central Coast’s leading providers of support services for foster and high needs children, youth and families. On the heels of this community event, I invite each of you, to join us in supporting Jack’s Helping Hand during our annual fundraiser in August. Your generosity in previous years has made a positive impact toward the initial development phases of the Jack Ready Imagination Park and we thank you. Our ongoing fundraising will help to complete the final phases under construction.

Wishing you a safe and happy summer!

Geri LaChance, President/CEO
