SESLOC is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15th to October 15th and the important contributions Hispanics and Latinos make to strengthen our community. To join in the celebration, check out some festive local celebrations planned for 2025:
“Voices Through Time” – A Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration
• Date: Saturday, September 6, 2025
• Location: Cambria Center for the Arts, 1350 Main Street, Cambria
• Time: Doors open at 6:30 PM
• Activities: The Cambria Film Festival is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a special screening of 4 short films from the “Voices Through Time” block, depicting the wide array of immigrant experiences, focused on strength, courage, dignity, freedom, and humanity from foreign voices that shape us, guide us, and unite us.
4th Annual Hispanic Heritage Festival
• Date: Sunday, September 14, 2025
• Location: TBA
• Time: 2:00-9:00 PM
• Activities: This year’s event celebrates all Hispanic countries in South and Central America, highlighting their food, traditions, and customs. Music will be central to the event, providing attendees the opportunity to dance and enjoy themselves.
Downtown Fridays Santa Maria
• Date: Every Friday, Until September 26, 2025
• Location: Santa Maria Town Center West
• Time: 5:30-8:30 PM
• Activities: This event is a family-friendly festival that celebrates community spirit and cultural diversity. There are dishes from around the globe, unique treasures at the vendor booths, Lotería, kid activities, dancing, and live entertainment in both Spanish and English.
Dia de los Muertos Festival
• Date: Saturday, October 25, 2025
• Location: Paso Downtown City Park, 12th Street Paso Robles, CA 93446
• Time: 10:00 AM-7:00 PM
• Activities: This event is a cultural celebration that includes educational and children’s activities, food, dance, music, vendors of cultural wares, special ofendre and more.
Festival Dia de los Muertos
• Date: Saturday, November 1, 2025
• Location: Mission Plaza, San Luis Obispo
• Time: 10:00 AM-4:00 PM
• Activities: Enjoy a celebration of Dia de los Muertos featuring Aztec dancers, mariachis, costume contest, face-painting, Latin dance, food, vendors and more.
Hispanic Heritage Month is an important time to recognize and celebrate the rich cultural contributions of Hispanics and Latinos in our communities.
