We’re partnering with News Channel 12 to honor nonprofit volunteers who make our community thrive. Each month, we’re choosing a different nonprofit and asking them to select a valuable volunteer to receive the SESLOC Cares for Community Award. We are thrilled to introduce our latest recipient, Teena Colebrook, a volunteer with CAPSLO — The Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo County.

For nearly a decade, Teena has volunteered with CAPSLO, collaborating with partners including Whole Foods, Trader Joes and Costco to rescue food and deliver it to the 40 Prado Homeless Services Center.

Teena devotes five days each week to this effort, volunteering her time and resources to ensuring the 40 Prado Homeless Services Center has food service. With up to 1,000 pounds of food donations daily, her dedication saves the community thousands of dollars, allowing CAPSLO to allocate their funds towards additional community projects.

We are proud to present the SESLOC Community Cares Award to Teena and are extremely grateful for her commitment to our community. Congratulations on being recognized as SESLOC’s Cares for Community Award recipient
