The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act was signed into law on Friday, March 27. This act includes economic impact payments to individuals, also known as “stimulus checks.”

But the crisis has also emphasized the role credit unions play in their communities— credit unions are known for their commitment to passionately serve their members during all phases of life, and especially during times of crisis. SESLOC Credit Union has seen its membership safely through historic crises since 1942.
This past May, we held a fundraiser for the SLO Food Bank and the Food Bank of Santa Barbara County. SESLOC, employees, and members raised a combined $13,217. Every dollar donated creates 7 meals, that’s over 92,000 nutritious, wholesome meals going back into our community to help end hunger!
