Fraud Advisory: Capital One Breach

This week, news broke regarding a massive data breach, possibly the largest ever, at Capital One Financial Corporation. At present time, they have identified over 100 million consumers who have been impacted, including current credit customers, and consumers and businesses who applied for Capital One credit products (more information can be found here). While cooperation with local and national law enforcement has helped stop much of the sensitive information from being distributed, this illustrates a very real threat to consumers.

SESLOC Hosts Santa Maria Chamber Mixer

SESLOC hosted the monthly Santa Maria Chamber Mixer on Thursday, June 20 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Chamber members and guests enjoyed networking, appetizers from Testa Catering, door prizes and meeting the new Chamber members. Thank you to the Santa Maria Philharmonic Society for donating concert tickets as raffle prizes and Dr. David Lohman of Straight Back Chiropractic for emceeing the event.

Youth Week 2019

Now through April 19, 2019 SESLOC is celebrating International Credit Union Youth Week by offering fun activities, giveaways and more to help kids learn about the importance of saving. We’ll also waive the $5 membership fee for youth under age 18 when they open a savings account.

The Annual Meeting of Members was held at our SESLOC Headquarters on March 19, 2019. Members enjoyed refreshments, door prizes, received the 2018 Annual Report, heard the financial reports, and learned about the previous year’s achievements. Plans for the coming year were discussed and presented by the Board of Directors and the President/CEO.
