by Team SESLOC

As we celebrate our 80th anniversary, we’re preserving our community for the next 80 years by doing 80 local acts that have a global impact. Read about our acts from September, and see what’s new below!

Here’s the impact so far:

57. We partnered with the SLO Botanical Garden to sponsor a free day in the park, so community members could enjoy and learn about nature.

58.  SESLOC employees participated in SLO RideShare’s alternative commute contest, saving 5,653.4lbs of CO2 from entering our air.

59.  In honor of our 80th, we donated to ytt Northern Chumash Nonprofit, an organization that preserves our natural environment.

60. We awarded an Education Grant to Mission Prep High School to replace a classroom’s reverse osmosis system for an aquarium used to teach students about ecology.

61. For National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, we promoted safe tips for using digital services that cut down on paper.

62. We expanded our social media content to reach more members digitally.

63. We recycle all of our drained batteries.

64. We closely and routinely monitor our landscaping irrigation for leaks to prevent excess water usage.

Stay tuned to learn about more ways we’re promoting sustainability.
