The Middle Class Tax Refund (MCTR) is a one-time payment to provide inflation relief to Californians, and payments will be sent in batches starting Friday, October 7, 2022. Payments are based on your 2020 tax filing, and if you efiled and used direct deposit, you can expect to receive your payment via direct deposit before the end of October. If you filed by paper or meet additional criteria, you can expect to receive a MCTR debit card, which will be mailed in batches between October 25, 2022, and January 15, 2023.

In this role, Melinda is responsible for initiating new business growth and overseeing business member relationships, with a focus on Santa Maria and Northern Santa Barbara County, plus the five cities area of San Luis Obispo County.

We’re thrilled to announce that our President and CEO, Geri LaChance, was selected by the California and Nevada Credit Union League as the 2021 California Advocate of the Year. Each year, the League honors credit unions, individuals and organizations that display extraordinary leadership in advocacy and political action.
On September 1, 2021, SESLOC supported a call to action from the Credit Union National Association, along with credit unions across the country, to alert our members of a concerning addition to the $3.5 trillion infrastructure spending bill that was proposed in Congress.
On Thursday, October 21, 2021, credit unions around the globe toasted to their members in celebration of International Credit Union Day. Credit unions like SESLOC are not-for-profit, which means we offer affordable loans, lower fees, and many free services to help our member-owners get ahead and achieve financial freedom.
SESLOC competed with other San Luis Obispo County organizations in Rideshare’s Summer Clean Air Challenge, and thanks to the efforts of our employees, we came out on top!
