Giving Back to Worthy Local Nonprofits
Supporting the health and wellbeing of our community is in our credit union DNA. That’s why we fundraise in support of local nonprofit initiatives that bolster our community today and into our future.

In 2025 SESLOC employees, members, and community partners raised over $114,288 in combined support for our fundraisers for our local food banks, childhood literacy, and the Family Care Network.

Fifth Year of Childhood Literacy Campaign Raises Over $100,000 to Support Local Schools
In 2025, the community, SESLOC members and SESLOC employees raised $102,372 to support childhood literacy with the “If You Give a Child a Book…” campaign.
Thank You for “Giving Joy”
We recently held a holiday fundraiser in our branches and online in support of the Family Care Network. This local nonprofit supports children and youth in foster care, as well as families struggling with homelessness and unhealed trauma in San Luis Obispo and Northern Santa Barbara Counties this holiday season.
Building Bright Futures Together: Thank You for Supporting Childhood Literacy
SESLOC is honored to have continued our partnership with KSBY News for a fourth year in a row in support of childhood literacy through the “If You Give a Child a Book…” campaign, a collaboration facilitated by the Scripps Howard Foundation. Together, from August 5 to September 15, the community, SESLOC members and SESLOC employee’s collective efforts resulted in the successful fundraising of $72,594.
Savings are insured to at least $250,000 and backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. government. National Credit Union Administration, a U.S. government agency.
