Education Grants
SESLOC has a strong commitment to education and supports classroom learning, creativity and innovation.
Each year SESLOC offers thousands of dollars in education grants to local schools.
In 2025, SESLOC passed a milestone, surpassing $200,000 in education grants awarded to local K-12 teachers since the program was launched in 2013. These grants support local educators by expanding classroom level resources and supporting projects that reflect the Credit Union values of:
- Cooperation
- Accountability
- Innovation
- Self-reliance
- Empowerment
- Teamwork
- Responsibility
Grants are available
in amounts up to $500.
Eligibility
Open to K through 12th grade classroom teachers and directors of enrichment programs at accredited schools within San Luis Obispo and Northern Santa Barbara Counties.
Application Deadline & Notification
The Education Grant application is simple and easy – just download the one-page application below, fill it out, and email it with a description of your project to [email protected]. The deadline for applications is the last day of any calendar month. Teachers will be notified of acceptance or denial by the middle of the following month. Applications may be submitted up to four months prior to project implementation date.
At the conclusion of the project, successful candidates may be invited meet the SESLOC Board of Directors and report on the success of the project.
