Frequently Asked Hiring Questions

Is SESLOC hiring?

If we have current openings, they will be posted on our Employment page.

Can I apply for more than one position at a time?

Yes, our system allows you to apply for more than one position at a time. We will only consider qualified candidates for positions so we do recommend that you only apply for positions for which you are qualified.

How do I know if you received my application?

You will receive an automatic response once you submit your application through our applicant tracking system, Applicant Pro. Make sure you allow e-mails from <[email protected]> so that you don’t miss any communication from us.

How can I check the status of my application?

You can check the status of your application by returning to Applicant Pro. To log in, use the e-mail address and password created during account registration when you submitted your application. If you lost your password, please click on the reset password button, as SESLOC is not able to reset passwords for you.

I meet the minimum qualifications for the position but I have not heard from SESLOC. When will you contact me?

We receive many applications for the positions we advertise on our Employment page. Often we have a competitive candidate pool with many people meeting or exceeding the minimum qualifications. For that reason, we are unable to interview every applicant who applies and meets the minimum qualifications. If you do not hear from us, please check the status of your application in the Applicant Pro system, which may provide more information about your particular application.

How will I know when a position has been filled and is no longer available?

Once we fill a position and the candidate has accepted our offer, we will send an e-mail to all other applicants letting them know the position has been filled. Once we complete that step, the job will be removed from our Employment page.

How can I be alerted when new positions are posted?

You can sign up for alerts from our Employment page which will take you to the Applicant Pro system.

Do you accept resumes in person or in the mail?

No. We use an online recruitment solution called Applicant Pro, which you can access through our Employment page. Once you apply for a position, you can upload your resume as an attachment at that time.

What is the pay for a particular position?

The pay range for each position varies. A number of factors may influence starting pay, including candidates’ experience, skill and education.

What can I expect if I am contacted by the Human Resources Department at SESLOC?

The process can be different based on the position. In some cases, Human Resources will schedule a preliminary phone call to assist the hiring manager in determining whether your application will move forward to an interview.

Candidates moving forward in the process can generally expect at least one in-person interview with the selection team at one of our work locations.

Please know that SESLOC does perform a Bond Check, Credit Check and employment verification/reference checks for the final candidates prior to extending a job offer. If a candidate is offered a position, a conditional offer is extended contingent upon verification of education (for some positions) and a criminal history check.

What if I have questions? May I speak with the Human Resources Department before applying?

Yes, you may call us at (805) 543-1816 ext. 558. Due to a high volume of inquiries, please be prepared to leave a message and include your phone number. We will return your call at our earliest convenience.
